What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Connect Search, LLC?
We have partnered with an established well known Construction based organization on a new Controller role in Frisco, TX. This is a fully in office role.
The Controller oversees core accounting and finance functions for a project-driven organization, ensuring financial records are accurate, current, and aligned with company policies and reporting standards. This position directs daily financial processes such as cash flow coordination, payroll validation, payables and receivables management, project expense tracking, and adherence to established financial procedures and compliance guidelines.
Working alongside senior leadership, the role supports strategic planning, operational reporting, and process optimization initiatives that improve efficiency and visibility across the organization. This individual also maintains relationships with outside business partners including financial institutions, audit teams, tax consultants, and customers to ensure reporting obligations, reviews, and financial requirements are completed effectively and on schedule.
In addition, the position plays an active role in supporting organizational growth initiatives by assisting with qualification packages, financial documentation reviews, audit preparation, and the enhancement of reporting systems and internal financial tools.
Must haves:
- Construction or Civil Engineering industry Accounting experience
- Percentage of Completion
- Project Accounting
- Financial Statement packages
- Ability to manage a small team
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- CPA is preferred but not required
Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
