What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable position at Connect Search, LLC?
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and have an ability to accurately track and record cash flow. This candidate should have experience in maintaining a database of financial information and be able to recognize and solve any problems that may arise. Lastly, where appropriate this candidate will track 1099s and create a report with related information at year end.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process vendor invoices accurately and timely
- Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation
- Manage payment processing, ACH/wire requests, and check runs
- Maintain vendor records and resolve vendor inquiries
- Monitor AP aging and ensure timely payment of obligations
- Assist with month-end AP accruals and reconciliations
- Generate and distribute customer invoices
- Apply customer payments and reconcile customer accounts
- Monitor AR aging and follow up on outstanding balances
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding payment status
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies
- Assist with cash application and reporting activities
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with account reconciliations and month-end close activities
- Support financial reporting and audit preparation
- Maintain organized accounting records and documentation
- Assist with process documentation and workflow improvements
- Participate in cross-functional projects and operational initiatives
- Support accounting leadership with ad hoc reporting and analysis
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, or general accounting
- Ownership mentality with strong follow-through and accountability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced, growing environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in evolving environments
- ERP experience preferred; NetSuite experience is a plus
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
