A highly respected, well-capitalized financial services organization is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant – Corporate Tax to join its internal tax function. This is a true corporate tax role, not public accounting, supporting a sophisticated, multi-entity financial services platform.
The position provides broad exposure to federal, state, and select international tax matters, close collaboration with external advisors, and meaningful involvement in process improvement and strategic initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare federal and state partnership tax returns.
- Prepare federal and state trust tax returns.
- Prepare small individual federal and state income tax returns.
- Prepare and calculate related estimated tax payments.
- Prepare annual franchise and license tax returns.
- Assist with tax documentation, workpapers, and supporting schedules.
- Respond to tax notices and information requests as needed.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 years of related tax experience and/or training.
- Experience with federal and multi-state income taxes, including:
- Partnership returns
- Individual income tax returns
- Trust taxation
- Some public accounting tax experience preferred, but not required.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
