Human Resources Manager, Americas
Location: Chicago
We are looking for a skilled Human Resources Manager, Americas to oversee and deliver people‑focused programs across the United States and Canada. This role plays a critical part in shaping the employee lifecycle, partnering with leaders to strengthen culture, ensure regulatory adherence, and support scalable business growth throughout the region.
The successful candidate will bring practical HR expertise, strong knowledge of U.S. and Canadian employment legislation, and a collaborative approach to supporting leaders and employees in a fast‑paced, evolving organization.
Core Responsibilities
- Act as the regional HR point of contact for employees and leadership across the Americas
- Translate business priorities into effective HR programs and people initiatives
- Lead employee relations matters, including coaching leaders through performance and conduct issues
- Ensure ongoing compliance with employment legislation across U.S. jurisdictions and Canada
- Administer and optimize total rewards programs, including benefits, compensation, and statutory leaves
- Partner with talent acquisition teams to support hiring strategies and workforce needs
- Provide HR guidance during organizational growth, change management, and restructuring efforts
- Champion initiatives that foster inclusion, engagement, and a strong workplace culture
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and related documentation
- Collaborate with legal counsel and external providers as needed
- Track HR metrics and deliver insights to improve decision‑making and workforce outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline (advanced degree a plus)
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience with responsibility for U.S. and/or Canadian employees
- In‑depth understanding of employment laws and HR practices across North America
- Experience supporting remote or geographically dispersed teams
- Demonstrated ability to advise and influence leaders at multiple organizational levels
- Strong communication, judgment, and problem‑solving capabilities
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
- Professional HR certification preferred (SHRM, PHR, SPHR, or equivalent)
