- Seeking a full-time paralegal to join our small, collegial, busy firm. We want to invest in an individual seeking a long-term career, who works well independently and in a team, and has a strong work ethic.
- The paralegal will team with a senior attorney and their clients.
- The preferred applicant should have a minimum of 2 to 3 years in family law or a similarly related practice area, experience in civil litigation is also highly valued.
- This position requires a commitment to continuous learning and creative thinking, exceptional organization, considerable attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, the ability to multi-task while meeting daily deadlines, and the ability to consistently manage time.
- Key responsibilities include drafting and editing motions, briefs and the like; research; electronic filing; managing the attorney’s calendar; case status updates with and recommendations to the attorney; communications with the court and other legal practitioners; document review and management; trial prep and support; handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality; related administrative case duties; and more.
- Strong computer proficiency is required in Word, Excel, Westlaw, preferably Adobe, and law firm billing programs.
