Overview
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations for a dynamic manufacturing organization of approximately 250 employees, including 125 plant employees and 125 exempt staff. This role is a key member of the site leadership team and is responsible for driving a positive employee experience, ensuring compliance, supporting organizational growth, and strengthening our culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Culture
- Serve as the primary HR partner for both plant and exempt employees, providing guidance on performance, conduct, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
- Build strong relationships across all levels of the organization to promote trust, engagement, and open communication.
- Lead initiatives that reinforce company values, improve morale, and support retention.
Performance Management & Development
- Manage the annual performance review process and coach leaders on effective feedback and goal‑setting.
- Identify training needs and coordinate development programs for both hourly and exempt employees.
- Support leadership development initiatives to strengthen management capability.
Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations
- Administer compensation programs, job evaluations, and annual merit processes.
- Oversee benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee education.
- Ensure accurate HRIS data, reporting, and compliance with internal controls.
Compliance & Policy Management
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, etc.).
- Review, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
- Lead investigations and ensure consistent, fair application of policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or HR certification preferred).
- 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to support both hourly and exempt populations.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment.
Salary : $90,000 - $95,000
