Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Pricing & Costing with a strong background in pricing, quoting, and costing within the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial analysis to support strategic pricing decisions, ensure profitability, and partner with sales and operations to meet or exceed company margin targets. This role requires a data-driven approach and a deep understanding of cost accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the quoting and pricing process for new customers, collaborating with sales and operations to understand customer needs and develop profitable price quotes.
• Conduct in-depth pricing analysis, including cost analysis, margin review, and competitor pricing evaluation, to inform strategic decisions.
• Analyze product profitability by part, customer, and program, identifying opportunities for margin improvement.
• Partner with Operations to review and analyze product costs, including Bills of Material (BOMs), labor, and overhead, to ensure accuracy and identify cost-saving initiatives.
• Build and maintain financial models to support pricing strategies, new product launches, and make-or-buy decisions.
• Maintain historical quote data and other relevant financial metrics to inform future pricing strategies.
• Support the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting by providing insights on product margin and volume.
• Provide regular financial reporting and presentations to senior management on pricing trends, profitability, and variance analysis.
• Assist in internal and external audits related to pricing and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field is required.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in finance, with a significant focus on pricing, quoting, and costing within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Expertise in financial modeling and data analysis, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data for diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
