Key ResponsibilitiesHealth Information Management: Accurately organize, maintain, and retrieve resident medical records according to facility policies.
Data Entry: Input clinical data and resident information into electronic health record (EHR) systems with high precision.
HIPAA Compliance: Ensure all records are handled, stored, and shared in strict accordance with federal privacy laws and confidentiality standards.
Administrative Support: Assist with auditing charts, processing release of information (ROI) requests, and coordinating with nursing staff for updated documentation.
Customer Service: Act as a professional point of contact for families, physicians, and staff regarding medical record inquiries.
HIPAA Proficiency: Solid understanding of medical privacy regulations and compliance.
Technical Skills: Strong data entry skills and familiarity with office software.
Communication: Excellent customer service skills to interact effectively with the clinical team and external partners.
Experience (Preferred): Prior experience as a Medical Records Clerk in a Long-Term Care (LTC) or Hospital setting.
