Job Summary
The Medical Records position at Ingleside Communities is responsible for ensuring resident charts are up to date and accurate, gathering information from patients/healthcare providers to ensure we have needed information, ensuring all documents are uploaded into our EHR timely and accurately, ensuring HIPAA compliance, preparing invoices, ensuring resident appointments are scheduled and there is transportation, and coding new admissions appropriately and working with providers to query any diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
- Reviews/updates medical records policy and procedure book as necessary, but at least annually.
- Responsible for removing resident register during an actual fire or disaster assisting in the evacuation of residents
- Answer the telephone, intercom, transfers calls/messages, faxes when necessary
- Responsible for daily census, repots to State and County Department of Human Services monthly and for initial LOCs. LOC changes and discharges
- Responsible for opening of new medical charts for admissions, closing records for transfers, discharges and deaths
- Maintains Resident roster, resident register, DX file, yearly CSR and Mantoux regulations and/or facility policies.
- Audits medical records for deficiencies
Qualifications/Requirements of Position
- Must have a high school diploma, associate's degree (Preferred)
- Previous SNF/Healthcare Experience (preferred)
