What are the responsibilities and job description for the Companion Caregiver For Precious Lady In Hospice-Brambleton Ave.-Every Other Weekend-7 a.m.-1 p.m. position at Companion Home Care?
Our precious lady with Alzheimer's is entering a new chapter of her life. Our goal is to continue to provide her with as much quality of life as she's able to have. Hospice has proven to be an excellent fit, as now that we have her anxiety and pain under control, she is the "old Barb" again. She still enjoys eating out(her appetite has returned, and she's eating like a little piglet), going for short walks around the mall and a park, and driving around town. The companion will spend Saturday making sure she has her Boost, takes her meds, and then it's get out of the house fun time for her. Sundays are for church right down the street, and then Texas Roadhouse for lunch, where she will probably just eat ice cream and chocolate sauce, but it's a routine, and she loves to people watch. We have a credit card to pay for her meals and ours, so enjoy your lunch! She doesn't like to be alone and enjoys having companions. The companion must have experience working with Alzheimers.
