Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
- Assist with floor care tasks such as vacuuming carpets, mopping hard floors, and polishing surfaces to maintain a polished appearance
- Support housekeeping staff by delivering linens, supplies, and amenities to guest rooms promptly and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness in service areas, storage closets, and utility rooms to ensure safety and organization
- Conduct routine inspections of guest areas to identify maintenance needs or cleanliness issues and report them promptly
- Support with industrial cleaning tasks when necessary, including deep cleaning projects or specialized sanitation procedures
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff alike
Experience
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services is highly preferred
- Experience with floor care techniques such as carpet cleaning, stripping and waxing floors is a plus
- Background in hospitality or custodial work demonstrates a strong understanding of cleanliness standards in a hotel setting
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and supplies enhances efficiency in performing duties
- Previous housekeeper management experience is beneficial for those interested in supervisory roles within the housekeeping department
