Front Desk Receptionist – Spine & Pain Management
Location: St. Marys, GA- Coastal Health
Job Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist to join our Coastal Health Spine & Pain team in St. Marys, GA. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while helping ensure the front office runs efficiently and patients feel welcomed and cared for.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Check patients in and out and verify demographic and insurance information
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions or direct calls appropriately
- Collect copays, deductibles, and other patient payments
- Obtain and maintain accurate patient information and documentation
- Assist with insurance verification and authorization processes as needed
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff, providers, and patients
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
- Keep the front desk and waiting area organized and professional
- Assist with medical records, referrals, forms, and other administrative duties
- Provide excellent customer service and help create a positive patient experience
Qualifications
- Previous medical office or front desk experience preferred
- Experience in a specialty or pain management practice is a plus
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Professional and friendly demeanor
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office
- Comfortable using computers and electronic medical record systems
- Knowledge of insurance verification and medical terminology is preferred
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
