Position Summary:
Coastal Health is seeking a professional, compassionate, and detail-oriented Call Center Representative to support our primary care office. This role is responsible for assisting patients over the phone, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a smooth and positive patient experience. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
- Assist patients with general inquiries, directions, and basic information
- Route calls to appropriate departments or clinical staff as needed
- Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information
- Document all patient interactions accurately in the system
- Maintain a high level of customer service and patient confidentiality
- Support front office operations as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous call center or medical office experience preferred
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage high call volumes
- Basic computer skills and experience with electronic systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
