Responsibilities
- Schedule surgical procedures for orthopedic and podiatry providers
- Coordinate with hospitals, surgery centers, and vendors
- Obtain prior authorizations and verify insurance requirements
- Communicate surgery dates, pre-op instructions, and paperwork with patients
- Maintain accurate scheduling documentation and patient records
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and post-operative visits
- Answer patient questions and provide exceptional customer service
- Work closely with providers, medical assistants, and front office staff
- Previous medical scheduling or surgery scheduling experience preferred
- Knowledge of orthopedic or podiatry procedures is a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and phone etiquette
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical office

- Familiarity with EMR systems and insurance verification preferred

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, Customer service, Oral and Written communication skills, Knowledge of medical terminology, Data entry skills, Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and teamwork.
