What are the responsibilities and job description for the FLEET SUPERVISOR position at City of Surprise?
Summary
Incumbents are responsible for supervising skilled and semi-skilled maintenance and trades staff. Responsibilities include performance evaluation and discipline; planning, prioritizing, and assigning work; serving as a liaison; assisting with the preparation of budgets, and coordinating work projects.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree or related vocational degree/certificate in automotive maintenance, automotive engineering, and/or diesel/heavy equipment maintenance. Five years of experience in the maintenance and repair of automotive/heavy equipment; including two years of lead or supervisory experience. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience. Relevant experience can be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Commercial Driver License (CDL), Class B or higher.
