What are the responsibilities and job description for the BASEBALL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN position at City of Surprise?
Summary
Incumbents perform routine work in the maintenance of the City's baseball facility. This is accomplished by performing skilled and semi-skilled construction and maintenance duties such as mowing, prepping fields, irrigation, and sports fields and general maintenance. Depending on assignment, incumbents may be required to work evenings, holidays, and weekends to support events and tournaments.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED, and one year of Baseball, Parks, Golf, Sports turf maintenance experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job listed above. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have at time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver License. Pesticide/herbicide applicator license is required within ten months of hire and must be maintained.
SELECTION PROCESS
