SUMMARY
The Utility Electrician I is responsible for the installation, maintenance, modification, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in water treatment and wastewater facilities. This entry level position performs troubleshooting activities, may act as a technical resource to others, manages inventory, and keep records utilizing a computerized maintenance management system. Overall, the position plays a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning of electrical systems in water treatment and waste facilities to provide safe and clean water to communities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED and Vocational or Technical School Certificate focusing on circuits/wiring, motors and controls, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona driver license.
SELECTION PROCESS
