IT Business Operations Coordinator
Perform a variety of routine and complex clerical, secretarial, and administrative work in keeping official records, providing administrative support to the Director of Information Technology and staff, and assisting in the administration of the standard operating policies and procedures of the department.
The employee will have the responsibility of:
- Entering and tracking requisitions for technology purchases across all city departments.
- Assisting in creating and managing departmental budgets, including forecasting, tracking expenditures, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Preparing, reviewing, and reconciling weekly and monthly financial reports, expense statements, invoices, and credit card transactions.
- Ensuring compliance with company financial policies, internal controls, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining an accurate accounting system that can be used for historical data to provide projections for future IT needs.
- Preparing travel arrangements and various reservations for department personnel.
- Composing and editing a variety of correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other material requiring judgment on content, accuracy, and completeness.
- Acting as custodian of departmental documents and records; establishes and maintains filing systems for the department. Maintains filing systems, control records and indexes using moderate independent judgment.
- Representing the Information Technology Department at a variety of internal and external meetings, meeting with executives and vendors on a regular basis.
- Maintaining calendars for the Executive Director of Information Technology
- Ordering supplies and bills to appropriate departments

Required Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s Degree; and
- Two (2) years of increasingly responsible related experience; or
- Any equivalent combination of related education and experience
Special Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Texas driver's license or obtain one by date of hire
