What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Project Manager position at Bk Field Operations, Llc?
The Project Manager/Accountant is responsible for the financial and project management of land and highway maintenance projects under mostly Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) but other customers as well.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the financial planning, budgeting, and cost control of TxDOT-funded transportation projects - collecting quotes and ordering materials in line with the budget
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and personnel lto ensure project milestones are achieved within budget and schedule.
- Monitor and reconcile project expenditures, ensuring alignment with contract terms and TxDOT financial policies.
- Prepare and review funding requests, invoices, and reimbursements related to projects
- Generate detailed reports for management on project status, forecasts, and financial performance from QB
- Conduct risk assessments and implement controls to mitigate financial discrepancies or compliance issues.
- Ensure compliance with TxDOT or other customer policies.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all financial transactions, completed work, and decisions related to projects.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in project accounting or project management, preferably in transportation or public infrastructure.
- Knowledge of TxDOT procedures
- Quickbooks Online
- Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel/ google sheets
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
