What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Group Home Supervisor position at ChildFirst Services Inc.?
WORK FULL TIME - 3 1/2 DAYS PER WEEK AND HAVE 3 1/2 DAYS OFF EACH WEEK!
Shift B: Wednesday 12am - 6am & Thursday- Saturday 6am-6pm
Shift C: Sunday-Tuesday 6p-6a Wednesday 6p-12a
Shift D: Wednesday 12am - 6am & Thursday- Saturday 6pm-6am
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitates relationships with youth, visitors, families, team members, staff and neighbors by responding to inquiries with tact and sensitivity
- Participates in the development and implementation of Individual Service Plan (ISP)
- Assists the individuals with their daily living skills, personal care, education, meal preparation, shopping, social and recreational activities, medical appointments, community life and associated transportation services as necessary
- Responsible for the overall, day-to-day operation of the program, assuring that all youth, staff, and facility/vehicle issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner
- Completes files and maintains all required documentation daily
- Conducts fire drills at least monthly and completes necessary documentation
- Follows all the organization’s policies and procedures
- Responds in accordance with agency policies and procedures for handling emergency situations
- Attends professional development sessions monthly and maintains required certifications in compliance with the State 3800 Regulations
- Maintains residence, vehicle, and equipment in a safe, functional, and secure manner conductive to the individual’s physical well being
- Assures the overall safety of the individuals by maintaining a hazard free environment and avoiding potentially dangerous situations
- Provides leadership, supervision and direction to residence
- Schedules and participates in house meetings as needed
- Conducts weekly supervision with staff
- Ensures policy and procedure compliance with all employees in your charge
Qualification:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field required
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience working with individuals in a residential, behavioral health to social services setting.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to oversee multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Ability to supervise, mentor, and support staff while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
