What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Technology (IT) Intern position at Chicago Metropolitan Agen?
CMAP is seeking three IT interns for Help Desk user support for staff by assisting with the fundamental operations of commonly used software, hardware and other equipment. The candidate will possess the ability to interact with staff and support desktops, laptops, printers and other IT equipment. The candidate will also assist in research and documentation of the CMAP computer systems and work with IT staff to maintain asset inventory. Please note, that the primary function of the IT intern will be supporting staff and completion of the Help Desk user support, there will be no coding, scripting, or programming used for this role.

Compensation
$21 per hour.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program and entering junior or senior status by Fall 2026 or be enrolled in a graduate-level program.
Internships are in-person at CMAP’s Old Post Office location in Chicago. Interns may work up to 29 hours per week. Start dates will occur between May and June, and internships will run for 12 weeks.
