Chesapeake Search Partners is partnering with a growing, project-driven construction organization identify a Controller. This hands-on role oversees all accounting operations and partners closely with leadership to support financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage accounting operations including general ledger, month-end close, and reporting
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Ensure timely and accurate financial statements in line with accounting standards
• Provide insights and recommendations to support operational and strategic decisions
• Lead, develop, and mentor a small accounting team
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and reporting
Qualifications:
• 7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including Controller or senior leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Comfortable leading a small team in a collaborative environment
• Experience in construction or other project-driven industries preferred
Salary : $125,000 - $150,000
