Chesapeake Search Partners is working with a privately held manufacturing company, as a hands-on Controller to lead and optimize accounting and financial operations. This pivotal role offers direct interaction with company ownership and leadership, playing an essential part in driving financial accuracy and supporting organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee comprehensive accounting functions including general ledger management, month-end close, and financial statement preparation.
- Manage and improve inventory and cost accounting processes specific to the manufacturing environment.
- Lead financial reporting efforts, delivering actionable insights that support strategic business decisions.
- Collaborate with leadership to enhance operational efficiency and develop scalable accounting procedures.
- Maintain accurate billing, receivables, and vendor/customer setups across systems.
- Ensure smooth operation of core administrative and financial functions including insurance, benefits coordination, and select office tasks.
- Support accounting and financial activities across a multi-entity structure, including management of additional locations and ongoing LLC development.
Qualifications
- 10–15 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong expertise in inventory and cost accounting principles.
- Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software is mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to manage full-cycle accounting processes and produce accurate financial reports.
- Experience in small to mid-sized companies with a proactive, hands-on approach.
Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
