Chesapeake Search Partners is partnering with an established landscape organization in their search for an HR Generalist. Our client is seeking a hands-on HR professional who is comfortable supporting employees and leadership across a variety of HR functions. Talent acquisition will be a major focus of the role, along with benefits administration and other day-to-day HR responsibilities. The role is fully onsite in Upper Marlboro, MD, with hours of 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.
Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day HR operations and provide general HR support to employees and managers
- Assist with full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating the hiring process
- Partner with hiring managers to support staffing and hiring needs
- Support onboarding and new hire processes
- Assist with employee benefits administration and serve as a resource for employee questions
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation
- Assist with HR-related reporting, compliance, and administrative processes
- Support employee relations and other general HR matters as needed
- Help implement and maintain HR policies, procedures, and initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and overall efficiency
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion when handling employee information
Qualifications:
- 2 years of general HR experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish, written and verbal, required
- Working knowledge of general HR practices and employment laws
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking initiative
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn HRIS and other HR technology platforms
Salary : $68,000 - $75,000
