The Assistant Project Manager supports Construction and Land Development Project Managers across the full lifecycle of commercial projects. The role carries the documentation, coordination, and tracking work that keeps projects on schedule and on budget, and it builds the foundation for advancement into a Project Manager role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Managers in developing and maintaining project budgets and schedules
- Help review plans and specifications and assemble bid packages for subcontracted scopes
- Support the preparation of contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders
- Coordinate day-to-day project activities, including progress meeting notes, RFIs, submittals and shop drawing logs, and subcontractor communication
- Track budget updates, change orders, and project billing
- Support safety and quality control compliance in the field and in project records
- Assist with land development tasks, including permitting, entitlement tracking, and coordination with civil engineers, utility providers, and municipal agencies
- Maintain accurate, organized project documentation and files
- Work closely with field personnel to confirm that contract requirements are met
- Support punch list completion and project close-out
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, real estate, or a related field; or equivalent industry experience
- 1–3 years of experience in construction, land development, or a related discipline (internship experience considered)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Procore
- Valid driver's license
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
