Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial or residential cleaning, janitorial services, or facilities maintenance. This role is essential in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The Custodian will perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks, contributing to the overall upkeep of our premises.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning to ensure floors are well-maintained.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly.
- Perform custodial tasks such as window washing and surface cleaning using appropriate tools and cleaning agents.
- Assist with minor repairs or maintenance tasks as needed to support facility operations.
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial services, custodial work, or related fields such as industrial or commercial cleaning.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
- Experience with residential painting or facilities maintenance is a plus but not required.
- Excellent time management skills to complete assigned duties within scheduled shifts.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and use protective equipment appropriately. Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
