About The Opportunity - Task Force Accountant

We are seeking a Task Force Accounts Payable Accountant to support the accounting team of a luxury hotel in downtown Nashville. This role will focus primarily on accounts payable functions while assisting with general accounting tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial operations.

Key Responsibilities - Task Force Accounts Payable Accountant

• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely and accurate payment of accounts payable
• Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies
• Assist with check runs, ACH payments, and expense reporting
• Support month-end close activities, including AP accruals and account reconciliations
• Maintain organized financial records and accounts payable files
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice and payment inquiries
• Assist with additional accounting and administrative projects as needed
  
  

Qualifications - Task Force Accounts Payable Accountant

• 2 years of accounts payable or accounting experience
• Hospitality, hotel, or service industry experience preferred
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and invoice processing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Experience supporting month-end close activities is a plus
• Available to work onsite and provide interim accounting support as needed
