This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role responsible for managing complex payroll processes, ensuring compliance, and driving operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee end-to-end payroll processing across multiple states, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
Manage complex compensation structures, including bonuses, commissions, and partner-related pay elements
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax filings and reporting
Supervise and mentor payroll staff, supporting team development and performance
Partner with HR, Finance, and Benefits teams to align payroll with broader compensation practices
Support audits and maintain payroll data integrity and confidentiality
Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and overall payroll efficiency
Qualifications
8 years of progressive payroll experience, including leadership responsibility
Strong experience with multi-state payroll in a mid-to-large organization
Experience supporting complex compensation structures (bonuses, commissions, or similar variable pay)
Proficiency with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, or UKG
Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
CPP designation is a plus
