Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Coordinator
- Process full‑cycle, in‑house payroll for approximately 800 full‑time employees on a semi‑monthly basis, including payroll tax processing through EFTPS, as the Payroll Coordinator
- Support employee payroll by calculating hours, auditing reports, and ensuring accurate module processing as the Payroll Coordinator
- Manage payroll deductions, garnishments, benefits, retirement plans, and payroll liabilities, including reconciliations, as the Payroll Coordinator
- Prepare and audit overtime, compensatory time, class‑based calculations, and expired comp time payouts as the Payroll Coordinator
- Maintain payroll calendars, schedules, and documentation while partnering with departments to resolve payroll issues as the Payroll Coordinator
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field
- 4 years of recent, hands‑on payroll experience; higher‑education payroll experience strongly preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office; PeopleSoft experience is highly desirable
Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
