The position requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess weekly payroll for approximately 500 employees, including hourly and salaried staffReview and validate timekeeping data, pay rates, overtime, bonuses, and deductionsEnsure accurate calculation and processing of taxes, benefits, garnishments, and other withholdingsMaintain employee payroll records and update changes related to new hires, terminations, pay rates, and deductionsReconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll submissionCoordinate payroll funding and transmission with payroll provider or internal systemsRespond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional mannerEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour lawsPrepare and assist with payroll-related audits and reporting requirementsSupport year-end payroll activities including W-2 processing and reconciliationCollaborate with HR, Finance, and Benefits teams to ensure accurate employee dataQualifications & SkillsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred3 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a high-volume or multi-state environmentHands-on experience processing weekly payrollStrong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirementsHigh level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentialityProficiency with payroll systems and timekeeping softwareStrong Excel skills and ability to analyze payroll reportsExcellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsPreferred ExperienceExperience processing payroll not just data entry for 400 employeesFamiliarity with garnishments, Florida taxesExperience with payroll platforms Microsoft Dynamics and Vista Viewpoint (Trimble)Working ConditionsOffice-basedStandard business hours with increased workload around payroll deadlines and year-end
