Key Responsibilities of the Billing Manager
- Lead and manage the end‑to‑end billing function for healthcare staffing programs, including reverse invoicing, VMS billing, and contract‑based workflows as the Billing Manager
- Direct, coach, and manage the billing team, including workload distribution, performance development, quality control, and training on staffing‑specific billing concepts as the Billing Manager
- Oversee invoice reconciliation against clinician hours, rates, contracts, and payroll data, resolving variances related to cancellations, overtime, holidays, and rate changes as the Billing Manager
- Partner with Finance leadership and Accounts Receivable to research payments, resolve discrepancies, manage disputes, and safeguard revenue as the Billing Manager
- Drive process improvement initiatives across billing systems, reporting, documentation, and workflow efficiency while supporting new client implementations as the Billing Manager
- Demonstrated experience in billing, revenue operations, or accounts receivable within healthcare staffing, staffing agencies, or shift‑based service environments
- Strong understanding of reverse invoicing models, VMS platforms (HealthTrust, Aya Connect, ShiftWise, Fieldglass, or similar), and staffing‑specific billing logic
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, pivot tables, IF statements) with experience in Sage Intacct, Salesforce, and complex, multi‑system reconciliations
- A leadership role with direct impact on revenue accuracy and client trust
