You’ll make a lasting impact by helping individuals with developmental disabilities build meaningful relationships, participate in community life, and gain the confidence to thrive.
What You'll Do
- Support individuals in their homes and community settings — not a facility.
- Help clients participate in social, recreational, volunteer, and faith-based activities.
- Provide reliable transportation and personal support as needed.
- Collaborate with families to design flexible, meaningful daily and weekly routines.
- Document services, progress, and outcomes in Therap.
- Encourage independence, dignity, and self-advocacy.
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Valid driver’s license (Class E MO or Class C KS), auto insurance, clean driving record, and personal vehicle (required).
- Compassionate communication, strong organization, and a person-centered mindset.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and complete CPR/First Aid (training provided).
- Prior caregiving, education, or human services experience preferred.
- Pay: $19/hr. mileage reimbursement weekend differential pay
- Work Setting: 100% community-based — location varies daily
- Schedule: Full-time or part-time; flexible hours coordinated with families and individuals
- Training: Paid two-week onboarding, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (required)
