This role will directly contribute to mission objectives under the DOE-NE Advanced Reactor Safeguards (ARS) program, supporting the integration of real-time data acquisition, transmission, and analysis systems across diverse hardware platforms.

The selected candidate will develop and maintain network environments that guarantee consistent communications, format data streams for analysis, and troubleshoot system issues through advanced diagnostic tools. This role offers hands-on experience working with mission-critical security technologies at the intersection of networking, data management, and advanced sensors.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and install Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs) to support secure sensor and video data transmission.
  • Ensure consistent, uninterrupted communications between sensors, servers, and storage systems in real-time environments.
  • Build and support LAN architectures for radar, LIDAR, video analytics, and other intrusion detection systems.
  • Perform diagnostics and network troubleshooting using Command Prompt and other advanced tools.
  • Support data stream formatting and transmission (e.g., XML, CSV, binary formats) for output into analysis platforms.
  • Record, store, and retrieve video and sensor telemetry across multiple secure environments.
  • Coordinate with engineers, data scientists, and vendors to align network performance with sensor integration needs.

Technical Requirements

  • Proficiency in network development and system-level IT infrastructure build outs.
  • Experience with data stream formatting, transformation, and routing for real-time processing.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, including use of Command Line Interface (CLI) tools for performance analysis.
  • Familiarity with sensor-to-network integration and real-time data recording systems.

Desired Skills

  • Exposure to or experience with Deliberate Motion Analytics (DMA) tools and platforms.
  • 120-240V Power Certification (desired, not required).
