CEIS Power is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to support operations at a manufacturing facility in Canastota, NY. This role is responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs for mills and lathes, while supporting production and machinists on the floor. This position may also provide leadership support in the absence of the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for mills and lathes (3, 4, and 5-axis)
- Review 2D/3D CAD drawings and translate them into CAM programs
- Perform calculations to determine cutting paths, tooling, and machining sequences
- Support machinists with machine setup and troubleshooting
- Run simulations and test programs to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds
- Improve setup times and machining processes to increase productivity
- Monitor programs to ensure compliance with blueprint specifications and safety standards
- Train employees on CNC programs and automated systems as needed
- Experience with Mastercam and SolidWorks required
- Experience programming CNC mills and lathes (3, 4, and 5-axis)
- Strong math skills (algebra, trigonometry, basic physics)
- Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with CMMs, CNC setup/operation, and controls (Fanuc, Siemens, Okuma) preferred
