Role Description
We are looking for a Client Relationship Specialist with experience or deep curiosity for lending and financial services, who will be the first point of contact for prospective borrowers and will help connect them with CEI’s lending programs. This position is a combination of business development outreach, early-stage deal screening, strong knowledge of CEI’s loan products, and intake coordination to guarantee timely support to our clients.
Some of your key responsibilities in this role will be:
- Monitor and manage incoming leads across all channels.
- Explain CEI programs, eligibility, terms, and application expectations to clients.
- Screen prospective clients, track potential leads, and connect clients with appropriate staff when needed.
- Manage loan application intake process, collect and review financial documentation and work with clients to ensure compliance with lending programs, and entering information into our systems.
- Maintain application forms and intake tools and process to ensure accessibility and work with technology vendors to improve workflows and troubleshooting.
- Provide administrative expertise to the lending department and serve as a backup to other members of the Lending Operations team when needed.
Preferred candidates will have:
- Three to five years of experience in lending, financial services, business development, customer engagement, or a related field.
- Experience and familiarity with different types of financial documents.
- Ability to explain financial concepts, program requirements using communication skills that adjust to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel skills.
- Aptitude to adhere to a high degree of confidentiality and ethics.
- Ability to work flexibly and embrace change.
