Duties
- Prepare and replenish breakfast buffet stations, ensuring all food items are fresh, appealing, and properly presented
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic dining area
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, plating, and portioning to support kitchen operations
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including toasters, coffee machines, and warming trays
- Serve food and beverages to guests with friendly, attentive in-person customer service
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems when applicable
- Maintain cleanliness by cleaning tables, counters, and food service areas regularly throughout the shift
- Handle weight-based food items with care during preparation and serving, adhering to safety standards
- Support catering or special event setups as needed to enhance guest experiences
- Ensure compliance with dietary restrictions and food handling regulations to promote food safety management
Experience
Candidates should bring a background in hospitality or food service, ideally with experience in fine dining or restaurant environments. Previous culinary experience or catering background is highly valued. Familiarity with food safety practices, sanitizing procedures, and operating kitchen equipment is essential. Candidates must demonstrate excellent customer service skills, both in person and at the point of sale. Experience processing cash transactions through POS systems and handling food with care—especially weighing ingredients—is important. A strong understanding of food industry standards, dietary considerations, and hospitality best practices will set you up for success. Prior experience in catering or dietary aide roles is a plus, along with knowledge of wine pairing or culinary techniques that enhance guest satisfaction.
