Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including beds, bathrooms, and common areas, following established standards
- Handle chemical agents safely by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures
- Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy linens, furniture, and cleaning equipment with proper technique to prevent injury
- Conduct floor care activities including vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to maintain a spotless appearance
- Restock amenities such as toiletries, towels, and linens to ensure guest satisfaction
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of incidents or safety concerns
- Maintain cleanliness logs and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a hospitality or industrial cleaning setting is preferred
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices is advantageous
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques involving chemical agents and industrial cleaning equipment is highly valued
- Experience with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols ensures swift response in critical situations
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during routine cleaning tasks
- A background in hospitality or hotel experience helps in understanding guest expectations and service standards
