Carolina PRG is partnering with a global manufacturing organization to identify an experienced Shared Services Director to lead and transform its accounts payable function. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established company that manufactures packaging solutions supporting many of the world's best-known consumer and commercial brands.
This leader will oversee the Accounts Payable function while driving process improvements, strengthening internal controls, leading ERP initiatives, and developing a high-performing team. The ideal candidate enjoys building scalable processes, leveraging technology to improve efficiency, and partnering with leadership across Finance, Procurement, and Operations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Lead the Accounts Payable department, including developing, mentoring, and managing the AP team.
- Oversee the end to end procure to pay process while ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies across the AP function.
- Lead ERP implementations, upgrades, and system enhancements related to Accounts Payable.
- Partner closely with Procurement, Operations, Treasury, and Accounting to improve workflows and resolve complex issues.
- Develop and monitor KPIs to measure departmental performance.
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
- Build strong vendor relationships while overseeing escalated vendor inquiries and payment issues.
- Support month end close, accruals, reporting, and audit activities.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Progressive Accounts Payable leadership experience within a manufacturing, distribution, or complex corporate environment.
- Proven experience leading ERP implementations, system upgrades, or large scale process improvement initiatives.
- Strong leadership experience managing and developing teams.
- Experience driving automation and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and cross functional leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
