Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using safe lifting practices such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques.
• Monitor vital signs and observe changes in residents’ conditions, reporting findings accurately in medical documentation systems like EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records).
• Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
• Assist with feeding.
• Facilitate patient transfers using appropriate transfer methods and equipment while ensuring safety for both residents and staff.
• Engage with residents through meaningful communication, promoting mental health and cognitive engagement, especially in dementia or Alzheimer’s care settings.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals in acute care, long-term care, hospice, or behavioral health environments to deliver comprehensive patient service.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification with current state licensure required.
• Experience working with geriatric patients or in long-term care facilities strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic life support (BLS).
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays.
• Strong communication skills for caregiving and team collaboration in fast-paced healthcare settings.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safe lifting practices during patient transfers.

Salary : $34,325 - $46,696
