About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support a K-12 student population in a school-based setting near Sierra Vista, Arizona for the 2026/27 school year. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic success and daily functioning while working alongside a collaborative special education team.

Position Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Provide direct therapy services to K-12 students
• Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, self-help, and functional skills
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and families
• Participate in IEP-related activities as appropriate
• Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines

Qualifications

Required

• Current Arizona Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License
• Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Ability to work effectively with K-12 students and multidisciplinary teams

Preferred

• Previous school-based or pediatric experience
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Compliance Requirements

• Active Arizona COTA License
• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP AZ)
