About the Position
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Developmental Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role supports children ages 3–5 with diverse developmental needs through individualized instruction, play-based learning, and collaborative intervention. The ideal candidate is dedicated to nurturing each child’s growth and partnering closely with families and specialists.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate, play-based lessons aligned with early learning standards.
Provide differentiated instruction based on developmental levels and Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
Conduct ongoing developmental assessments and maintain accurate documentation of student progress.
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress updates.
Collaborate with speech, occupational, and physical therapists, psychologists, and other support staff.
Guide and support paraprofessionals in daily classroom operations.
Foster strong communication with families and provide home-support strategies.
Implement behavior-support plans and promote social-emotional development.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field required.
Valid state teaching certification in Early Childhood Special Education or Early Childhood Education (as applicable).
Experience working with preschool-aged children, especially those with developmental delays or disabilities.
Knowledge of developmental milestones, early intervention strategies, and special education procedures.
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with inclusive preschool settings, structured teaching, visual supports, or behavior intervention strategies.
Familiarity with assistive technology and sensory-based teaching approaches.
