Recruiting Operations Lead
A high-growth AI company is seeking a Recruiting Operations Lead to own and improve the systems, processes, and coordination that support a fast-moving hiring function. This is a strong fit for someone who has meaningful experience in recruiting operations and recruiting coordination, enjoys building structure in a scaling environment, and is comfortable being highly hands-on. Ashby experience is required.
Location: New York City. Currently based in Brooklyn and relocating to Manhattan in spring
Schedule: Primarily onsite Monday through Friday, with flexibility to work from home when needed
Hours: Generally around 40 hours/week; workload can be intense in a high-growth environment
Compensation & Benefits

What the role involves
- Owning and improving recruiting operations infrastructure, processes, and workflows
- Managing and optimizing the ATS, reporting, pipeline tracking, scheduling processes, and data integrity
- Overseeing complex interview scheduling across teams and time zones
- Driving a strong end-to-end candidate experience, including onsite hosting and interview coordination
- Preparing interview materials, scorecards, and internal documentation
- Identifying inefficiencies in the hiring process and leading process improvement projects
- Building dashboards, improving workflows, and partnering cross-functionally with internal stakeholders
- Acting as a key point person for recruiting operations in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Ideal background
- 3 years of experience in recruiting operations, recruiting coordination, or a blended recruiting ops/coordinator role
- Prior experience in a startup, growth-stage, or similarly fast-paced environment
- Strong project management skills and the ability to run initiatives independently
- Experience with high-volume scheduling, candidate-facing coordination, and process ownership
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Comfortable working onsite in New York and hosting candidates in person
- Familiarity with Ashby or another ATS strongly preferred
- Tech-savvy, resourceful, and comfortable working with shifting priorities
- Someone who is proactive, execution-oriented, and able to build as they go
