Our client, a leading name in the beauty and retail industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Specialist to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll fundamentals, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
**Please note this is a hybrid, 3-6 month contract based in San Francisco, CA. Pay will be $27/hr.**
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with biweekly payroll processing and auditing to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations
- Manage and resolve employee payroll inquiries through the HLOL ticketing system in a timely and professional manner
- Process daily terminations and ensure all final payments and records are accurately updated
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to maintain accurate payroll data and reporting
- Support payroll team with ad-hoc requests, audits, and special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of payroll experience preferred
- Basic understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations, and wage laws
- Prior experience with Dayforce or other HRIS/payroll systems highly preferred
- Strong organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
