Executive Assistant – High-Growth Hedge Fund
A newly launched high-end hedge fund, backed by a prominent billionaire, is seeking a bright, highly motivated Executive Assistant to join our fast-paced startup environment and help build the business from the ground up. In this role, you will do much more than standard administrative work; you will serve as a key culture carrier, an ambassador for the firm, and a trusted partner across all business functions.
While the immediate focus is on core administrative and operational execution, there is significant opportunity for career growth as the firm expands its HR, Investor Relations, and Operations functions over time.
Location: Meatpacking District, NYC (Onsite 5 Days/Week), generally 8:30am-5:30pm with flexibility as needed
Compensation commensurate with experience: $125,000 – $200,000 base range significant discretionary bonus potential and benefits package
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Operational Support
- Executive Support: Fully own the calendar and scheduling for the Principal end-to-end, process expenses and invoices, and handle extensive domestic and global travel coordination.
- Office Management: Oversee light office management as needed to keep the office operations running.
- Vendor & Contract Management: Stay on top of payments, vendor relationships, and contracts.
External Communications & Board Support
- Act as the primary point of contact and liaison with investors, portfolio companies, brokers, research providers, legal counsel, and the media.
- Prepare and distribute materials to our Senior Advisory Board.
Marketing & Research Support
- Marketing: Assist with setting up our corporate presence and coordinate investor outreach by liaising with prime brokers, maintaining the database, and researching potential investors.
- Research: Coordinate workflows across research providers, software platforms, and expert call networks.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 4 years of relevant experience, ideally within public equities, hedge fund, operations, or investor relations (private equity experience is also highly welcomed).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required (strong academic background is a plus).
- Professional Presence: Exceptionally professional and articulate communicator who can represent the firm to external partners.
- Startup Mentality: A self-starter who can hit the ground running, figure things out without micro-management, and is eager to wear many hats.
- Attention to Detail: Impeccable follow-through and organization when managing multiple high-priority workstreams.
