Position Overview:
Capital Technology Alliance is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator for a full-time, on-site engagement in Tallahassee, FL. In this advanced-level role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing cloud and on-premises infrastructure, including Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, AWS, and Windows/Linux server environments. You will serve as a key technical contributor within a dynamic IT operations team, ensuring system reliability, security, and performance across a large enterprise environment.
Scope of Work:
The Systems Administrator will manage and support enterprise server infrastructure across cloud and on-premises platforms. Responsibilities span administration, automation, security configuration, troubleshooting, and documentation across Azure, AWS, Active Directory, and Windows/Linux environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Microsoft Azure Entra ID and Active Directory management activities.
- Develop and maintain processes to optimize Microsoft server and Azure resources.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain processes to optimize AWS services and resources.
- Analyze Azure resource performance; identify contention and recommend improvements.
- Develop and maintain technical specifications, standards, procedures, and documentation.
- Collaborate with data center staff and end users to perform deployments, upgrades, and configuration changes.
- Administer and configure Azure infrastructure security for staff and users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Windows and Linux server issues with minimal user impact.
- Write PowerShell scripts to monitor server properties and manage Active Directory and Azure activities.
- Research and recommend technical solutions to meet functional requirements.
- Create and manage schedules for software system development and implementation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or four (4) years of equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of Windows server administration experience, with at least three (3) years on Windows Server 2016 or newer.
- Minimum of three (3) years of Microsoft Azure and cloud experience; two (2) years of AWS experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years administering Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy in environments with 1,000 users.
- Minimum of three (3) years of Linux server management experience.
- Demonstrated experience writing, testing, and executing PowerShell scripts.
- Proven track record with third-party application support in virtual and cloud environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing large-scale, distributed enterprise environments.
- Ability to develop, track, and manage project schedules across multiple workstreams.
- Experience with government or enterprise IT engagements.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of compliance-driven IT standards and regulatory environments.
- Experience in adjacent IT disciplines such as programming, data analytics, or cybersecurity.
- Proven team player with high energy and a diligent work ethic.
Job Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, and Active Directory.
- Strong Windows and Linux server administration and troubleshooting skills.

Location/Work Terms:
On-site, full-time engagement in Tallahassee, FL. Standard workweek of up to 40 hours. Office space, computer equipment, licensed software, and network access provided.
