Senior Systems Administrator (Azure / Windows / AWS)
Location: Tallahassee, FL (Full-Time, Onsite)
Pay Rate: $68–$72 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to support and optimize enterprise infrastructure across Microsoft Azure, AWS, and on-premises environments. This role requires deep expertise in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, cloud platforms, and automation via PowerShell. The ideal candidate thrives in complex environments and can independently manage performance, security, and infrastructure operations.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- OR
- Four (4) years of equivalent work experience
Required Experience
- 5 years of Windows Server administration experience
- Including 3 years with Windows Server 2016 or newer
- 3 years experience with Microsoft Azure / cloud environments
- 2 years experience with AWS services
- 5 years administering:
- Active Directory
- DNS
- Group Policy
- In environments supporting 1,000 users
- 3 years of Linux server administration
- Strong experience writing, testing, and executing PowerShell scripts
- Proven experience supporting and maintaining third-party applications in virtualized and cloud environments
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Azure Entra ID and Active Directory administration
- Develop and maintain processes to optimize Microsoft server and Azure resources
- Design and implement solutions to optimize AWS services and infrastructure
- Monitor and analyze Azure resource performance; identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including standards, procedures, and system specifications
- Collaborate with data center teams, IT staff (OIT), and end users for deployments, upgrades, and configuration changes
- Administer and secure Azure infrastructure for enterprise environments
- Support application owners and users with access management and permissions
- Troubleshoot and resolve Windows and Linux server issues with minimal business disruption
- Develop PowerShell scripts for monitoring, automation, and Active Directory/Azure operations
