Minimum Qualifications
The Department is seeking a Systems Administrator with the following minimum qualifications. All qualifications must be clearly demonstrated on the candidate's resume and verifiable through reference checks:
- 6 years of experience configuring and programming IBM DataCap 9.1.3.
- 6 years of experience administering and maintaining IBM FileNet Image Services 4.2.0.
- 6 years of experience with PowerShell scripting.
- 6 years of experience administering and configuring Windows Server environments.
- 6 years of experience monitoring and optimizing network and server performance.
- 6 years of experience with enterprise-level change management practices, including code promotion activities in partnership with development teams.
- 6 years of experience administering, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning enterprise web application servers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with project management methodologies, standards, best practices, terminology, and tools is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment supporting education and technology solutions.
- Demonstrated experience delivering high-profile implementation projects involving:
- Multiple technologies and business functions.
- State government environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities / Deliverables
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Assist in developing technical specifications and support the planning and management of projects.
- Provide weekly status updates to leadership and submit monthly written reports detailing accomplishments, concerns, and recommended solutions.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and key information to project teams, sponsors, stakeholders, and legislative bodies as appropriate.
- Ensure adherence to established technical standards, policies, and architectural direction.
- Develop project plans and track actual progress against established milestones and objectives.
- Maintain project documentation, including project plans, budgets, risk management plans, communication plans, change control logs, and status reports.
- Demonstrate an understanding of business and tactical objectives and contribute to the development and implementation of effective technology solutions.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks through proactive planning and risk management practices.
- Manage project change control processes and documentation.
- Obtain sponsor approval for changes impacting project scope, budget, schedule, or critical-path activities.
- Create and maintain documentation demonstrating testing, validation, and verification of system modifications to ensure business and technical objectives are achieved.
