Position Overview:
Capital Technology Alliance is seeking a skilled Web Architect to join our team on a full-time, on-site engagement in Tallahassee, FL. In this advanced-level role, you will serve as the principal technical authority for web architecture design and delivery, translating business needs into scalable, secure, and well-documented technology solutions. You will work closely with project teams, information security personnel, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and compliance requirements.
Scope of Work:
The Web Architect will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and documentation of web-based systems and applications across Internet, Intranet, and Extranet environments. This includes ensuring architectural integrity, security compliance, performance, and maintainability throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and design comprehensive web applications and systems.
- Analyze assigned specifications and develop solutions using appropriate Internet, Intranet, and Extranet architecture processes.
- Provide documentation for object design decisions, estimating assumptions, applets, and performance metrics.
- Ensure minimal issues between client and server applications; oversee Internet and web server architecture design.
- Manage the execution of web projects, ensuring compliance with enterprise web architecture and integration requirements.
- Coordinate with Information Security teams to establish protocols protecting sensitive data and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of architectural decisions, impact analyses, project progress, and system performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or four (4) years of equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of IT experience with demonstrated expertise in architecture design, software development, database management systems, and systems integration in multi-platform environments.
- Profound knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, SQL), cloud computing, and web development frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience designing enterprise-level systems integrating multiple applications and data sources.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
- Experience with Dreamweaver, InDesign, or Visual Studio Code.
- Experience designing websites and documents for ADA Level AA accessibility compliance.
- Familiarity with Content Management Systems.
- Knowledge of IT standards in regulated or compliance-driven environments.

Location/Work Terms:
On-site, full-time engagement in Tallahassee, FL. Standard workweek of up to 40 hours. Office space, computer equipment, licensed software, and network access provided.
