Job Title: Assistant Head Housekeeper
As the Assistant Head Housekeeper, you will support the Head Housekeeper in overseeing daily operations of the housekeeping department. On days that the Head Housekeeper are off. You will help ensure cleanliness standards are met while assisting with team supervision, training, and inspections. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone ready to grow into a management position.
What you’ll do
- Assist in supervising housekeeping staff and daily operations
- Perform and support room inspections to ensure cleanliness and brand standards
- Help train new team members on cleaning procedures and safety practices
- Step in to assist with cleaning guest rooms, hallways, and public areas as needed
- Support inventory management of linens, supplies, and equipment
- Coordinate with laundry operations to ensure timely availability of linens
- Report maintenance issues and safety concerns promptly
- Help ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Collaborate with other departments to support guest satisfaction
- You will also perform room cleaning and deep clean projects as needed 2 to 3 days per week
Basic qualifications
- Experience in housekeeping or custodial roles
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred qualifications
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience
- Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and housekeeping procedures
