Pay Range for Traveler: $1,500 – $1,550/week (taxable base stipends)
for Local: $38/hr. on W2.
Job Title: Travel PTA – Physical Therapist Assistant | LTC/Rehab
Location: Norman, OK
Shift: Days | 8-Hour | Monday–Friday | Flexible Start Time (6:00 AM – 10:00 AM)
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: June 29, 2026
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of PTA experience (required)
- LTC or Rehab setting experience (required)
- Active Oklahoma PTA License — must be active at time of submission
- New grads considered if Level II clinical experience completed (not Level I observation only).
Duties:
- Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment to LTC patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
- Administer a range of therapeutic interventions including manual techniques, therapeutic exercise, ambulation, modalities, and use of assistive/supportive devices
- Assess patient progress and communicate treatment adjustments to the supervising PT in the clinical record
- Report effectiveness of treatment outcomes to supervising Physical Therapist
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders
- Document all required clinical and regulatory information accurately in the electronic documentation system
- Record treatment minutes for all services per regulatory and clinical requirements
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation team meetings
- Support facility and company-required trainings, in-services, and conferences
- Assist with DME procurement in coordination with supervising PT
- Supervise and support PTA students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist
- Adhere to APTA standards and Oklahoma state practice acts and code of ethics
